Kerry’s Bio

Kerry received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2014. Her introduction to yoga began after the birth of her first daughter 18 years ago. Seeking a time out from the exhaustion of motherhood, she never expected yoga to be a source of solace and peace.

Enjoying being a student for many years and playing within the field, it took a serious illness to move her towards the therapeutic aspects of yoga which led to a certification. Kerry’s yoga experience extends from therapeutic and alignment based classes to chair yoga, kids yoga and power vinyasa.

Recently, Kerry became a certified aerial instructor and was also trained in aerial Thai yoga and places high value on professional development opportunities to better serve her students. Kerry’s diversified background in yogic teachings and practices enable her to adapt to her students’ needs and be flexible in the moment. She believes in creating a grounded and safe space where her students feel welcomed and nurtured while also challenging them towards empowerment.

Incorporating the practical applications of yoga and yogic philosophy in a relatable and simplified way that both engages and educates students, Kerry also brings joy, play and fun to her classes believing that laughter is the key to connectivity.

Kerry is a certified teacher and currently pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is eager to continue to incorporate the principles of counseling with the wisdom of yoga and dedicated to serving those who endure mental health & addiction challenges.
